Polar Stroller - Unique Stroller Skis |
Polar Stroller in action |
They wanted to be able to use their regular stroller to stay active during the long winter months and explore this winter wonderland we live in. After several prototypes, they came up with skis that attach onto the existing stroller wheels.
The skis attracted a lot of attention and interest when out and about and everyone said, “You should go on Dragons den.” Instead they decided to go into production and launch Polar Stroller.

Serrated pattern on base for resisting backward motion |
The skis are very quick and easy to put on and take off, great for when you need to grab a coffee or the paths have been cleared.
In the deep snow they give you the float you need and on the hard, compact, bumpy trails, they glide over it, giving your child a smooth ride.
Smooth and comfortable |
Polar Stroller has just launched their 2015 line, which requires no tools to adjust the binding size. Just turn the knob and slide. They have also replaced the white strap, which went around the wheel, with a black silicone anchor strap that feeds through the wheel and hooks onto the knob. These new features make the skis even more user friendly.
The skis fit a wide range of strollers, including special needs strollers, joggers, chariots, and even doggy strollers. The company also welcomes custom orders. If you have something unusual, these guys will look at designing you a solution to fit. The skis are also very reasonable, starting at $99.99.
The skis fit all sizes of wheels |
The Polar Stroller skis are great for walking, hiking, jogging, snowshoeing, visiting the ski hills, and basically anything outdoors during the winter snow covered months.
These stroller skis are every parents' must have to stay active once the snow flies. Get outside with your stroller or chariot and children and enjoy the long winter ahead.

We would LOVE a pair, makes winter with 3 sooo much more enjoyable! would enable me to take the kiddies out to Shaganappi course weekly at least, plus weekend trip!
ReplyDeleteWe would use these to push our little Jack all over the Cascades! They'd also be handy for when we visit our parents in Minnesota and we want to walk the dog but the paths haven't been cleared yet. What a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI, Carrie Anheliger, use these around the city/prov. parks/nat. parks on the trails that aren't cleared enough for my stroller.
ReplyDeleteCarolyn Fisher: we'd use the polar stroller at Confederation Park!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE a pair of these. I have been pushing my 7 months twins up Nose Hill a few times a week (we live close by) and getting out of the house is the only thing that keeps me (and our dog) sane!! But we live near the 64th street parking lot and the hill is a bumpy climb even without the snow. I need need need to get out of the house in the winter!!!
ReplyDeleteThese look great, and a real asset to help get out and about in the winter.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE these. I push our 7 month old twins up Nose Hill a few times a week (we live close by) and getting out is the only thing that keeps me (and our dog) sane. But we live near the 64th Ave entrance and even without the snow it's a bumpy climb. I would love to carry them up but with two, the stroller is the only option. And I need, need, need to get out of the house in the winter!!
ReplyDeleteThese are so cool!! Love inventive parents!
ReplyDeleteMostly for taking my two little ones to preschool - we prefer to walk rather than drive, but the sidewalks aren't always cleared in our neighbourhood.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea. I would love some so that I can take my 7 year old snowshoeing and push the baby.
ReplyDeleteI'll use it to take long walks in the park near my home.

Would love a pair of these. With the younger one still not able to keep up it would really help on the ski hill, skating and when picking up kiddos at school with snow-covered pathways!
ReplyDeleteWould love a pair of these! I'm curious if these would also work on a strider bike?
ReplyDeleteChristie, I don't honestly know if they would work on a Strider. I'll ask Kelly. Otherwise, the Strider comes with its own set of skis - and I'll be doing another giveaway for them soon in the next couple of weeks!
DeleteNicole Callin - I would love some of these for my double chariot so my kids and I can rip thought the snow this winter!
ReplyDeleteYea for locally grown products!! Great idea. In attempts to learn to embrace winter this year these would be an asset.
ReplyDeleteI also love local businesses! And of course I think this is a fantastic idea. The chariot skis are nice but it would be handy to have the ski for the front wheel so the chariot could be pushed instead of pulled.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea and love that it is a local product even more!!
ReplyDeleteI would use the stroller during the holiday season around our local park! Love to support local businesses!
ReplyDeleteThis would be awesome! I'm in Northern Alberta and love going for walks
ReplyDeleteWe would use this at Wisp Ski Resort in McHenry Maryland later this year.
ReplyDeleteThis would make getting our with our two little boys this winter much easier!
ReplyDeleteThis would definitely make our 10 and 8 year olds happy...going at a big kid pace for winter activities...and the dog would get a real walk too. I know what my sister is getting for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThese would be great for our cold winters in Calgary!!
ReplyDeleteWe love our chariot skis on long dog walks but this would open up the possibility of taking the chariot to the grocery store like we do before the snow makes it too hard to walk with the wheels. Pop on for the walk and pop off when we get there! Great idea and no need to pack an entire set of wheels which we'd need to do if using the separate skis. Great thinking by this couple!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool product and I love the story behind it! Not something we'd need/use on a regular basis here in Seattle, but definitely something good to keep in mind for folks further out in the foothills/mountains.
ReplyDeleteI would use them for getting my older children to and from school each day on our local path system.
ReplyDeleteI would use this skating and on the trails here in Banff - even for just walking around town on snowy days. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to use these while snowshoeing, or just walking my kid's to school! Looks like a great idea :)
ReplyDelete~Suzanne
Wow! This is such and an amazing product. I will use these with my son on snowy days in the city when they haven't plowed yet and for snow hiking on the weekends.
ReplyDeleteI want to try these out at Bowmont park as we go to the sledding hill.
ReplyDeleteWould love to try these on route to sledding or while teaching our older child to ski
ReplyDeleteThese look fantastic! We would use them when we're out snowshoeing, hopefully many weekends this winter.
ReplyDeleteWe would use these snowshoeing around the North Shore mountains here in BC and up at Whister... maybe we'll get a trip to Manning Park in too!
ReplyDeleteLove to try these out on my stroller, we've stayed off the trails lately because we haven't figured out how to do it quite yet!
ReplyDeleteHeather Brickwell: We would use them on our double stroller snowshoeing in Kananaskis and walks in Fish Creek Provincial Park! Maybe they'll help us get out more this winter!
ReplyDeletethis would be great to bring when we go snowshoeing!
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely use these in Confed Park (wasn't much fun pushing through the snow last week!), and Nose Hill!
ReplyDeleteTheresa Constantin
It's a super good idea, parents can take advantage of the winter season with toddlers baby!
